This month SewCalGal's FMQ Challenge featured the work of Ann Fahl. Her tutorial had a strong emphasis on sketching with swirls and shapes. Once mastered, these are then options for FMQ. I started sketching and quickly laid out loops and stars. But then where to go?
I have been so inspired this month by some of the entries the other quilters have shown. Loops with flowers have been done with amazing detail. Swirls and leaves have wowed. It is such a pleasure to view the work of the other quilters and get inspired.
To that end, I have put together a small quilt that features each of these. There are swirls up by the cloudy sky. And waves and rays of sunshine emerging from the clouds. Swirls of flowers bursting forth from the boot.
Here is where I am so far. I plan on adding some additional detail of rain still. We will see what comes of this today!
