This weekend, more specifically on Friday, I decided that the leaves I had quilted onto the borders had to go. They were the first thing I had done on the quilt and I just wasn't that happy with it. So out they came. It took hours (sigh) and left small pieces of thread all over the living room rug.
Once that was out, I had some fun putting in quilting specific to each border. I did a series of bubbles on the blue dotted fabric and then added feathers to the orange.
The last border, which is a Dr Seuss blue and green print, got a series of loops and stars.
I also got a chance to finish up the final Seasons panel, drawing, stitching and then painting/coloring the one for Winter. I am really happy with how it came out as the white on white fabric really resists the coloring and makes it look like snow is falling.
